Foreword
Dear divine Brothers and Sisters of the Universe, Since mid-November, it has been quite lively at Universal Peace Centre, Lachhipur. Five Europeans have joined the local residents of the Ashram in West Bengal: Axel, Fabian, Jonathan, Joystna, and Prakash, coming from Sweden, Germany, and France.
They are experienced Sunyoga practitioners and have been coming regularly to the Ashram, as early as 2013. Their goal is to stay full-time and work to provide a good atmosphere for spiritual practice there. The team is currently dividing their time into cleaning tasks, gardening, mingling with the locals, learning Bengali, morning and evening Pujas, meditation… and also having fun! 😉 Coming soon: taking care of the cows, rice harvest, and more? Here is a little backstory about the Universal Peace Centre. Since its creation in 1997, it has been a great place for spiritual development, thanks to Swamiji’s presence and his methods. However, it was not easy to maintain a high level of spiritual practice while he was away for workshops. There were not enough long-term residents to make up for his absence. Since he went into the Himalayas it became even harder, yet the Ashram still kept its spiritual atmosphere by Babaji’s grace. A few people indeed contributed to the welfare of the place: dedicated and devoted local employees and sincere Sunyoga practitioners who passed by from time to time.
Back to the present. We can feel that after 2 weeks of Seva with this new group, the Ashram is slowly regaining its splendor. Each day more beauty, more meditation, and more love. Some new construction projects starting, some new relationships forming, and new plans for the coming years… Indeed, a great preparation for Swamiji’s return in June 2024!

The Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Family Universe-City is Mahavatar Babaji’s plan for Humanity for the next hundreds and thousands of years.
We plan to establish a Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Family (Universal Family Home) following the principles of Sanatam Dharma (Eternal Way). Our harmonious sanctuary will provide individuals with a toxic-free environment conducive to unrestricted personal development, free from the distractions and pollutants of modern society.
Central to our project is creating a Universe-City, a crucial part of a broader plan to expand upon its success. Our comprehensive initiative strives to safeguard humanity across various dimensions, offering employment opportunities, organic cultivation, organic farming, handicraft industries, ancient and modern health therapies, elderly care, orphan support, women’s welfare, mother and child development, and comprehensive education for all segments of society.
The Universe-City is a self-sustained ecosystem. It will offer everything necessary for the community’s well-being. It will include an environmental protection area to preserve wildlife (flora, fauna). The project requires a minimum of 300 acres of land in the vicinity of lakes, rivers, mountains, and forests.
Swamiji Sunyogi Umasankar explains he is simply an instrument. His life and research are only aimed at the benefit of society. Mahavatar Babaji gave him the inspiration and blueprint for the Universe-City project.
Sunyogi Umasankar explained it is a long-term plan that should last thousands of years to bring peaceful solutions for Humanity and Mother Earth’s balance.
We have a team of advisors including project managers, business CEOs, school and institution directors, educators, social workers, volunteers, architects, lawyers, farmers, world-class scientists, finance advisors, and strategists.
Governments of different states and national parks want to foster our Universe-City.
We are now coming to the stage where, already, landowners and significant donors are evaluating our options.
During the early stages of development we would like to welcome 100 families, then ultimately when our plan is complete we will grow to reach a population of 265,720 people.
Right now, people can help either with physical or digital work. If you like the project, you will naturally find your place inside of it.
We will have open discussions and accept applications soon, so everyone can join this noble initiative. Together, we shall sculpt a future defined by unity, enlightenment, and an unwavering commitment to Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – the belief in a world as One Family.
